In Tashkent, a festive atmosphere is felt from the morning of March 8. Buyers gather at flower stalls, markets become crowded, and people in shopping centers search for gifts for loved ones. City residents congratulate mothers, wives, sisters, friends, and colleagues, striving to delight them with attention and small surprises. A Podrobno.uz correspondent captured this festive morning in a photo report.

It is particularly lively near flower sellers. Bouquets of tulips, roses, and mimosa are sold out one after another. Men carefully select bouquets, inquire about the freshness of the flowers, compare compositions and prices. Many buy several bouquets at once—to congratulate all the women in their families.

Some start their congratulations early in the morning—people with bags of gifts head to visit mothers, grandmothers, and other female relatives. Near entrances and in courtyards, those hurrying to congratulate loved ones in person can be seen.

At markets, buyers examine scarves, jewelry, sweets, and souvenirs. Some look for a small symbolic gift, while others seek something more special. Sellers actively offer goods, advise on options, and help choose gifts.

The festive mood is also noticeable in shopping centers. Stores have prepared gift sets, and shop windows are decorated with flowers and congratulations. Visitors select perfumes, accessories, cosmetics, and boxes of candies. March 8 traditionally remains one of the warmest holidays. On this day, the city fills with flowers, congratulations, and pleasant bustle—people rush to express attention and gratitude to the women who hold important places in their lives.
