A court in the city of Kokand has issued a verdict in a criminal case related to the murder of 17-year-old Khurshid Khaydarov. According to the ruling by the Kokand City Court for Criminal Cases on February 26, 2026, Shokhzhakhon Ganiyev (born 2007) and Murtazkhon Mansurov (born 2009) were found guilty of intentional murder, desecration of a corpse, and theft. The court established that on June 20, 2025, the defendants invited the victim to a field in the "Kichik Ganjiravon" neighborhood, where they drank beer together, after which Ganiyev used glue to render Khaydarov helpless and strangled him, while Mansurov held the victim's legs to prevent resistance.

To conceal the crime, the teenagers carried the body to a railway line, where a freight train on the "Kokand-Pap" route ran over it that night, in an attempt to create the appearance of suicide. Shokhzhakhon Ganiyev was sentenced to 12 years in prison, and Murtazkhon Mansurov received 10.5 years. Additionally, Muhammadfayozkhon Yakubov, convicted of failure to report the crime, was sentenced to 3 years imprisonment and taken into custody directly in the courtroom.

During additional investigative actions initiated after the case was returned for further investigation, the involvement of minor Abdullo Sodikov in the murder was not confirmed, leading to the termination of proceedings against him. Earlier testimonies from the defendants had suggested Sodikov was present at the scene and assisted in moving the body, but these claims lacked sufficient evidence. According to an investigation by Kun.uz, the victim's mother had expressed concerns that some individuals involved might evade justice.
