The Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan has announced that citizens working five days a week will receive four consecutive days off in observance of the Ramadan Hayit and Navruz holidays. This adjustment to the work schedule is anticipated during the festive period, although official decrees have not yet been published.

It is important to note that the exact date for Ramadan Hayit has not been finalized by the decision of the Muslim Board and presidential decree. However, the Ministry of Justice emphasized that documents are being prepared to more clearly establish holiday arrangements, which will facilitate planning for workers and businesses.

According to the Labor Code, if a holiday date (such as Navruz) coincides with a day off, the day off is transferred to the next working day. Consequently, those working five days a week will get four days off, while those working six days a week will receive three days. This rule plays a crucial role in regulating work hours during holiday seasons.

The holiday days off provide an opportunity for Uzbek citizens to engage in family and cultural events, but caution is advised in planning until official announcements are made. The Ministry of Justice stated that it will soon provide additional information on this matter.
