Starting March 16, a new electronic queue management system for motor vehicles has been launched on a trial basis at the “Yallama” customs post on the Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan border. According to the State Customs Committee, necessary infrastructure has been created in the area adjacent to the post for the system’s implementation, and currently, an average of 500–600 motor vehicles exit Uzbekistan daily through this post.
The new system allows drivers to obtain an electronic queue directly via the “E-navbat” mobile application without having to come to the border customs post. Additionally, they can access online information about existing queues at the post. The committee emphasizes that this will help prevent congestion of motor vehicles in front of border crossing points.
This innovation has been implemented within the framework of executing the Cabinet of Ministers’ Resolution No. 44 dated January 29, 2025, “On Further Simplifying the Processes of Movement of Individuals Across the State Border of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as Their Movement of Goods and Transport Vehicles.” According to the resolution, the automated information system “Electronic Queue” for motor vehicles is planned to be gradually introduced at all border crossing points based on traffic flow.
Furthermore, in accordance with the president’s decree dated January 27, 2025, on developing the transport-logistics system, it has been stipulated that from June 1, 2025, an electronic queue system will be launched for cargo transportation through automobile crossing points of Uzbekistan’s state border. Previously, it was reported that the “Electronic Queue” system was first launched at the “Navoiy” post located on the border with Kazakhstan.
In August 2025, it was reported that modern inspection complexes for scanning light motor vehicles—Z-portal devices—are being installed at a number of customs posts in Uzbekistan. Initially, such a device was installed at the “G‘ishtko‘prik” post, and then at the “Navoiy” post, aimed at making border control more efficient.
