According to Farrukh Toshpulatov, press secretary of the Bureau of Compulsory Enforcement, an unprecedented case has been recorded in Uzbekistan's Fergana Region. The father of a child and his parents paid the entire alimony amount until the child's adulthood – over 1 billion sum – in a single payment, setting a regional record.

The enforcement writ was received by the district department on March 11, and the parties were notified of the proceedings on the same day. Based on the court decision, the man was required to allocate a quarter of his income for child support. A state enforcement officer conducted a preventive conversation, explaining the rights and obligations of the process participants.

It was revealed that the couple had lived in a religious marriage without official registration. After disagreements arose, the woman filed a lawsuit for alimony recovery. Upon learning of the court decision, the man's parents decided to resolve the issue immediately. Recognizing their son's responsibility and the child's rights, the family declared readiness to pay the full alimony amount in advance.

On March 29, over 1 billion sum was transferred to the child's mother, and the case was officially closed. This incident highlights a positive example of fulfilling alimony obligations, though such large upfront payments remain rare, reflecting ongoing challenges in the enforcement system and broader societal issues related to child support.

Previously, a larger case was recorded in Nukus, where a man paid alimony for 13 years in advance – nearly 2.3 billion sum, which remains the all-time record for the Bureau of Compulsory Enforcement. This indicates that while the Fergana case is significant regionally, it is not unique nationally, underscoring the sporadic nature of such compliance amidst systemic enforcement difficulties.
