Social media in Uzbekistan has seen reports of problems with purchasing railway tickets, including for the high-speed Afrosiyob trains. Users have complained about difficulties, particularly during holidays and weekends when passenger traffic surges significantly, potentially leading to tickets selling out quickly on certain routes.
The press service of "Uzbekiston Temir Yo‘llari" (Uzbekistan Railways) issued a statement, emphasizing that ticket sales are conducted openly and in accordance with existing regulations. Tickets can be purchased through official websites, mobile applications, and railway ticket offices, with sales opening 60 days before the travel date.
The company explained that during holidays and weekends, passenger flow increases sharply, which may result in tickets being exhausted rapidly on some directions. Consequently, passengers are advised to plan their trips in advance to mitigate any inconveniences.
Furthermore, "Uzbekiston Temir Yo‘llari" assured that efforts to improve service quality are ongoing. Specifically, measures such as launching additional trains and introducing new electric trains are under consideration, which could help alleviate issues in the future.
