Tashkent will hold a ceremonial military parade on April 4 to commemorate the 690th anniversary of the birth of statesman and commander Amir Temur. According to the Ministry of Defense, the parade will commence at 08:00 near the University of Military Security and Defense (landmark: Pushkin metro station) and conclude by 12:30. Military columns will march along Parkent and Mustaqillik streets, carrying the battle standard of Amir Temur. Participants will include personnel in modern military uniforms as well as in historical costumes from the Temurid era with period-appropriate weaponry, showcasing a blend of past and present military heritage.

At Amir Temur Square, scheduled activities include theatrical performances, displays by the honor guard and martial arts masters, and a military band parade. Following the program, the columns will return via Mustaqillik and Temiryol streets. Due to the event, vehicular traffic on the specified streets will be temporarily restricted during these hours, potentially causing significant transportation issues and inconveniences for city residents and commuters.

While the parade is intended to reinforce military values and historical legacy in Uzbekistan, its execution raises concerns about economic and social costs, including disruptions to normal city operations.
