The first stage of a large-scale 'Media Week' has successfully concluded in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, transforming the region into an innovation hub for hundreds of information sector professionals. The five-day intensive program brought together over 700 participants, including press service heads, journalists, bloggers, mobile videographers, and SMM specialists.

The training program moved away from academic lectures in favor of live practical sessions. Participants were divided into five specialized tracks, where they mastered working with artificial intelligence, fact-checking methods, and crisis communications. Special attention was paid to technical aspects – operators learned to work with stabilizers like 'Ronin', while social media specialists studied algorithms for pushing content into recommendations.

The project's speakers included leading experts from the republic: Beruniy Alimov, Nozima Toshpulatova, Mukhrim Azamkhodzhaev, as well as representatives of major media outlets and popular bloggers. During the week, two new methodological manuals were presented – on the legal regulation of relations between state bodies and the media, and on verifying official pages on social networks.

Concurrently, the region reviewed interim results of an initiative to train 10,000 SMM specialists. In Karakalpakstan, over 500 young people have already undergone training, many of whom received preferential loans from a partner bank to start professional activities.

The next stage of 'Media Week' will take place from April 6 to 10 in the Khorezm region. Applications are being accepted through the regional offices of the Agency for Youth Affairs.
