The Central Bank of Uzbekistan has officially responded to rumors circulating online and on social media regarding the design of a new 500,000 som banknote. The image, styled in the era of Mirzo Ulugbek, was purportedly planned for introduction into circulation in the near future.

However, the regulator swiftly denied these rumors, stating that information about the issuance of banknotes of this sample does not correspond to reality. No decisions have been made at this time to introduce a banknote of this denomination into circulation.

In an official statement, the Central Bank emphasized that such images are fake and called on citizens to be vigilant. The regulator strongly recommends relying only on official sources and verified pages of the Central Bank to obtain reliable information about the republic's currency.
