Strong winds in Khorezm Region and the Republic of Karakalpakstan have led to fallen trees, damaged power lines, and destroyed roofs of residential buildings. Emergency services are working to address the aftermath of the natural event and restore electricity supply.
In Khorezm, numerous instances of tree falls, roof damage to homes, and breaks in overhead power lines were recorded. As a result, some consumers were left without power. To mitigate the consequences, emergency repair teams from the "Regional Power Grids" company and staff from the regional emergency management department were mobilized.
The teams are repairing lines, replacing damaged sections, and clearing areas. Specialists are taking measures to quickly restore stable electricity supply in the affected districts. The situation is under the control of responsible services.
Similar weather conditions impacted certain districts of Karakalpakstan as well. Here, disruptions in the power grid caused by strong winds were also recorded. Specialists are implementing measures to fix faults and gradually restore electricity supply to consumers.
The company emphasized that all work is being carried out in an intensified mode, with restoring energy supply as a priority task. Consumers were apologized to for temporary inconveniences and assured that restoration work will be completed in the shortest possible time.
Previously, strong winds with sand and dust hit some regions of Uzbekistan. A dust storm was observed in Termez and Jizzakh, while powerful wind gusts were recorded in Syrdarya and Tashkent.
