The Ministry of Preschool and School Education of Uzbekistan has officially announced the detailed schedule for the final state certification exams for 9th and 11th grade graduates across the country. The exams are set to commence in May and extend through late June, providing students with a constrained preparation window that may intensify academic pressure as the school year concludes.

For 9th-grade students, exams will begin with "Physical Education," conducted in practical form from May 1 to 6. This will be followed by written exams: native language and literature (or the state language for non-Uzbek language classes) on June 1, mathematics on June 4, and the history of Uzbekistan in both written and oral forms on June 8.

For 11th-grade graduates, the examination campaign starts on June 2 with a written exam in native language and literature (or the state language). Subsequent exams include mathematics (basic and advanced levels) on June 5 (written) and the history of Uzbekistan on June 9 (written).

The ministry specifically noted that all 11th-grade graduates are required to take one elective subject. This list includes native language and literature (encompassing Karakalpak, Russian, Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Tajik, and Turkmen languages), as well as physics, chemistry, biology, geography, fundamentals of state and law, and foreign languages.

Elective subject exams are scheduled for June 12 and 15, with written tests for most disciplines, while foreign languages will be assessed in both written and oral formats. The ministry emphasized that the approved schedule ensures transparent organization of the final certification nationwide, though it did not elaborate on specific measures to prevent irregularities or maintain fairness.

This schedule reflects ongoing updates in the education system, as the ministry recently also approved regulations for first-grade admissions for the 2026/2027 academic year, with a major focus on expanding digital services. In the upcoming season, the geography of electronic admissions will expand from 64 to 135 districts and cities, and the number of schools connected to the online registration system will more than double from 1,956 to 5,689 institutions, potentially posing implementation challenges in resource allocation and technical infrastructure.
