The government of Uzbekistan has approved a procedure for compensating part of the costs of introducing water-saving technologies in agriculture.
According to a resolution dated April 28, subsidies will be allocated from the state budget. This support measure is provided once for each specific land contour where the technology is implemented, regardless of the type of crop grown or irrigation system used.
To receive financial assistance, applicants must enter data on their sown areas by contours and product types into the Agroportal information system. Applications for subsidies are submitted exclusively in electronic form through this platform.
The electronic application must include the following documents: a copy of the contract with a contractor included in the "Tomchi-reestr" registry; project documentation and a copy of the certificate of completion of construction work; information on the contours where the work was carried out, including their area and exact location.
Special conditions are provided for farmers implementing technologies at their own expense. Such applicants will receive 50 percent of the subsidy amount as an advance payment, according to established calculations.
