President of Uzbekistan signed a decree on additional measures to support the private sector in healthcare.
Starting May 1, 2027, non-state medical organizations with national or international accreditation will be permitted to perform human organ and tissue transplants in accordance with legislation.
Compliance with transplant procedures will be a licensing requirement. Private clinics' transplant activities will be classified as high-risk under the 'risk analysis' system.
Private clinics must regularly provide the Ministry of Health with information on transplant patients and donors.
From January 1, 2027, a pilot project in Samarkand region will test proposals for building and renovating primary healthcare facilities.
