The criminal court of Mirzo-Ulugbek district has concluded the trial of blogger Sanjar Karimov, known as Real Sanjik.
According to the Tashkent city courts, Karimov was found guilty of fraud under Article 168, Part 4, Clause 'a'; threats of murder or violence under Article 112, Part 1; and illegal preparation, acquisition, storage, and sale of narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances under Article 273, Part 2.
The court sentenced him to 5 years of imprisonment and a fine of 410 times the basic calculation value (approximately 169 million soums). The sentences are to be served separately.
The court also acknowledged that material damage to victim Sh.A. has been compensated. Victims Sh.A. and F.R. were informed of their right to file civil claims for material and moral damages.
The parties have the right to appeal the verdict to a higher court within the established procedure.
