Uzbekistan's under-17 national team secured a dominant 3-0 victory over India in the second match of the Asian Cup group stage. The game took place on May 10 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

This win not only guaranteed Uzbekistan a place in the quarterfinals but also earned them a ticket to the U-17 World Cup, scheduled for November 2026 in Qatar.

The starting lineup for Uzbekistan included Olimjon Shomurodov, Muhammad Hakimov, Amirxon Erkinov, Islom Ravshanov, Suhrob Sadirjonov, Mirjamol Anvarov, Muhammadodilxon Orifxonov, Adis Abdunabiyev, Laziz Abduraimov, Abubakir Rahimov, and Muhammad Mamatov.

In the 32nd minute, a foul by Indian goalkeeper Rajrup Sarkar led to a penalty, which Laziz Abduraimov calmly converted to open the scoring.

Uzbekistan doubled their lead in the 60th minute when Indian defender Danny Singh accidentally scored an own goal from a corner kick. The final goal came in the 78th minute from Akhrorbek Ravshanbekov, who finished off a well-worked attack.

With North Korea withdrawing from the tournament, Group D was left with only three teams: Uzbekistan, Australia, and India. Uzbekistan's victory also allowed Australia to advance to the quarterfinals prematurely.

Uzbekistan and Australia will now face each other on May 13 at 21:00 to determine the group winner. In the first round, Uzbekistan drew 1-1 with Australia.

Notably, last April, Uzbekistan's U-17 team won the Asian Cup by defeating Saudi Arabia 2-0, despite being reduced to nine men after two red cards in the first half.

In the previous U-17 World Cup, Uzbekistan lost to Italy 2-3 in the round of 16.
