The Qazaqstan Barysy Grand Slam tournament took place in Astana, with men and women competing in seven weight categories.

In the under-66 kg category, Uzbekistan's Abdurashid Nutfullaev defeated Russia's Saygid Kerimov in the final. Midway through the bout, Nutfullaev scored a yuko and maintained his lead despite his opponent's attacking efforts.

Bronze medals in the same weight category were awarded to Uzbekistan's Anvarjon Ibragimov and Russia's Ramazan Abdulaev.
