Deputy Governor of Tashkent Region Shukurulla Makhmudov, along with representatives of Qatar's Protocol Capital Group and South Korea's Korea Expressway Corporation, discussed the project for constructing a toll road from Tashkent to Charvak.

The parties reviewed key technical and investment aspects, as well as issues of developing road infrastructure in line with modern standards and improving the region's transport capabilities.

According to the presented data, the planned highway will be 52 kilometers long. The project is expected to be implemented over three years.

Once the road is operational, travel time from Tashkent to the Charvak Reservoir is expected to decrease from the current 1 hour 20 minutes to 35 minutes. This will not only enhance travel convenience but also reduce traffic load and ease congestion on existing routes.

It was particularly emphasized that the project will help develop the region's tourism potential, increase visitor flow, and expand the service and business sectors.

Currently, residents and guests of Tashkent can reach Bostanlyk district by buses connecting the capital with mountain resorts. Buses to Charvak (Khumsan village) depart from the Mashinasozlar metro station.
