Social media in Uzbekistan circulated rumors about the possible demolition of the 'Kadysheva' market in Tashkent, accompanied by video footage showing the dismantling of structures in the vegetable section.
The administration of Yashnabad district denied the information about the liquidation of the market, explaining that work is underway to restore order and dismantle spontaneous trading points on the adjacent territory.
It was noted that some citizens were trading fruits and vegetables without proper permits and in violation of sanitary and epidemiological requirements.
Authorities emphasized that this is not a demolition of the market but the elimination of illegal trading points and the organization of traders in specially designated and officially registered places. Entrepreneurs whose trading points were dismantled are being offered to move to official locations and register their activities in accordance with the law.
