In Karakalpakstan, large-scale raids have led to the elimination of 124 illegal dumpsites. The region continues efforts to identify and prevent unauthorized waste disposal.
The campaign is conducted on the instructions of the Presidential Administration and covers the entire region. According to responsible services, 565 administrative offenses were recorded during inspections. Fines totaling over 575 million soums were imposed.
Additionally, 124 spontaneous dumpsites were liquidated. Over 1,200 units of special equipment and more than 7,000 workers were involved in cleaning the territories. A total of over 3,100 tons of waste were transported to specialized landfills.
Simultaneously, 271 construction sites were inspected. Several organizations received orders to eliminate violations, and 76 companies signed waste removal contracts. Also, over 5,000 vehicles received special stickers to monitor waste transportation.
Authorities continue explanatory work with the population: dozens of banners have been installed, and a large-scale information campaign has been conducted in the media and social networks.
Earlier, a vast area littered with remains of dogs and donkeys was discovered in Turtkul.
