The city of Namangan is undergoing extensive preparations for the 65th International Flower Festival. About 5 million seasonal flowers are set to be planted on the streets of the city and districts.

According to the Egyptian publication Sada al-Balad, the International Flower Festival in Namangan was first organized in August 1961. Since 2018, the festival has gained international status, attracting guests and participants from various countries.

This year's festival is a milestone — the 65th edition. Over recent years, the event has become a recognizable brand not only in Uzbekistan but also internationally.

It is reported that the current festival may be entered into the Guinness World Records. A process is underway to set a record for the largest number of flowers planted in one month. This process is being monitored by Kanzi Defravi, a representative of the organization in Dubai, based on international requirements.

The International Flower Festival will run from May 24 to July 12. The program includes gala concerts, drone shows, a car parade, an open-air symphony concert, a fashion week, various exhibitions, as well as international forums dedicated to tourism and investment.

According to organizers, the vibrant flowers planted on the city streets are intended to leave an unforgettable impression on festival guests.
