In London, the head of the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan, Saida Mirziyoyeva, held a meeting with the UK Prime Minister's investment adviser Varun Chandra and the trade envoy for Central Asia and Azerbaijan, Lord John Alderdice.
The main topic of the talks was strengthening bilateral economic cooperation and expanding the presence of British capital in the Uzbek market.
The sides discussed in detail the successful entry of the Uzbek national investment fund UzNIF into global financial markets. The participants noted the growing interest from British business circles in Uzbekistan's investment potential.
It was noted that the volume of British investments in the republic's economy has already exceeded $1 billion. The parties expressed mutual interest in further developing partnerships and creating favorable conditions for implementing new joint investment projects in key sectors of Uzbekistan's economy.
