In 2026, Eid al-Adha (Qurbon Hayiti) is expected to fall on Wednesday, May 27. According to a presidential decree, Uzbekistan will observe a 5-day holiday for the occasion.
The document designates May 28-29 (Thursday-Friday) as additional days off for all employees, and Saturday, May 30, as an extra day off for those working a 6-day workweek.
Consequently, regardless of work schedule, everyone will enjoy 5 consecutive days off: May 27 (Wednesday) – first day of Eid, May 28 (Thursday) – additional holiday, May 29 (Friday) – additional holiday, May 30 (Saturday) – additional holiday for 6-day workers, May 31 (Sunday) – regular day off.
Work will resume on June 1. Notably, there are no rescheduled days off; employees will not have to make up for these holidays on other days.
For reference, the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan has announced that the first day of the month of Zulhijja will fall on Monday, May 18.
