TASHKENT – Uzbekistan has terminated the operations of UzNEX, the country's first and Central Asia's first cryptocurrency exchange. The license issued to South Korean company Kobea Group was revoked at its own request by the National Agency for Prospective Projects (NAPP), with users promised refunds of fiat and crypto assets within specified timeframes.

According to NAPP, the license was annulled by a director's order on May 25, 2026. The company had been operating the exchange since February 2024. The exchange's website cited server maintenance as the reason for suspending services.

Following the license revocation, the operator launched a dedicated channel for customer inquiries. Users can submit refund requests via email at This email address is being protected from spambots.
