According to the National Statistics Committee, Uzbekistan produced 108,700 passenger cars in January-March 2025, an 11.8% increase compared to the same period last year.
The Chevrolet Cobalt remains the most popular model, with 38,300 units produced in the quarter, nearly 20% more than last year.
Production of Chinese-brand cars also grew significantly: BYD output rose 1.7 times, and Haval increased 1.5 times. South Korea's KIA also showed positive dynamics, with production up 15.5%.
Earlier, it was reported that Uzbekistan's used car market declined by 15% due to a massive shift of buyers toward electric vehicles. Experts attribute this to growing interest in new cars and changing demand in the secondary market.
