In the Mirabad district of Tashkent, law enforcement officers detained two food delivery couriers during a night patrol for allegedly transporting prohibited substances.

The special operation took place on Fergana Yuli Street. Patrol officers noticed suspicious behavior from the two couriers and stopped them for inspection. The detainees are natives of Samarkand region, aged 17 and 18.

During the search, more than 30 parcels containing a substance suspected to be narcotics were found in thermal containers intended for food delivery.

An expert examination has been ordered, and an investigation is underway. A criminal case has been initiated under the article for illegal production, acquisition, storage, and other actions with narcotic drugs.

Earlier, in Karakalpakstan, a man suspected of selling heroin was detained. He had hidden the drugs in a street toilet, inside a pill bottle.
