A traffic accident involving a Nexia 2 and an Onix occurred in the Quva district of Fergana region on May 30. According to the regional traffic safety department, the incident happened at approximately 11:30 AM on the 189th kilometer of the D-105 “Fergana Ring” highway, near the “Paxtakor” neighborhood.

The 49-year-old driver of the Nexia 2 was exiting a gas station and maneuvered into the oncoming lane, colliding with an Onix driven by a 26-year-old motorist traveling in the proper direction.

The driver of the Nexia 2 sustained severe injuries and later died at the hospital. An investigation into the incident is currently underway.

Earlier, in the city of Kokand, a minor driving a Malibu 2 struck three girls crossing a pedestrian crosswalk. A 10-year-old girl died at the hospital as a result. A criminal case has been initiated against the driver, who has been detained.
