Uzbekistan plans to increase the volume of its creative economy to 145 trillion som in the coming years by developing culture, art, design, crafts, and international events. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev issued the corresponding instruction.

To implement these plans, construction of large creative parks has begun in Tashkent and Nukus. Another venue for creative youth is expected to be the Center for Contemporary Art, which is scheduled to launch in the capital in September.

The president paid special attention to promoting national products. Artisans will now be sent more frequently to international exhibitions. A program to expand cooperation with renowned designers will also be developed, and shows and exhibitions of Uzbek products are planned to be held more often in Europe, the United States, and South and East Asian countries.

"Today, Uzbekistan is entering the world in all spheres, and the world is coming to us. Culture and art are also a bridge that brings peoples closer," the president noted.

Earlier, Podrobno.uz reported that the creative economy in Uzbekistan would receive a new impetus. The country plans to increase the sector's contribution to GDP to 5% by 2030.
