Tashkent is set to introduce new requirements for nearly 1,700 construction sites aimed at improving safety, environmental standards, and transparency, Podrobno.uz reports.
The new rules mandate the installation of surveillance cameras, dust suppression systems, and additional control measures. A separate set of environmental and cleanliness requirements includes the installation of microclimate control systems, water sprayers, and dispensers around construction perimeters. Construction vehicles must leave sites clean before entering city streets.
For continuous monitoring, video cameras will be installed and integrated into the Construction Control Inspectorate's system. The plan also includes environmental sensors, night vision devices, artesian wells, and dedicated vehicle washing areas.
Tashkent mayor Shavkat Umurzakov stated he is open to constructive suggestions from residents and specialists to improve the project.
Earlier, it was reported that Uzbekistan plans to reduce bureaucracy in construction and transition to digital oversight of projects.
