President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has extended heartfelt congratulations to all school students, their parents, teachers, and mentors on the occasion of Knowledge Day. The new academic year is set to begin on September 2, with festive events planned across educational institutions nationwide.
This year, nearly 800,000 boys and girls will cross the school threshold for the first time. The head of state called them “our bright future, our golden fund” and assured that all necessary conditions for their education would be provided.
The President expressed hope that the new academic year would be a “year of enlightenment and progress” for the entire education system, encompassing schools, lyceums, technical colleges, and higher education institutions. He emphasized the importance of improving quality and fostering comprehensive development of the youth.
Referring to the youth as “sprouts of the Third Renaissance,” Mirziyoyev stated that nurturing them into “mighty trees and pillars of a bright future” is a sacred duty. He noted that the government will continue to prioritize the development of education and upbringing, which serves as a solid foundation for achieving these lofty goals.
“We will create all conditions for our children to acquire solid knowledge and at least one modern profession before entering adulthood. To this end, we will establish ‘Cities of Professions’ in the regions, attracting modern expertise and advanced specialists,” he said.
Addressing the youth, the President stressed: “Dear children, the key that opens the doors to a happy and prosperous life, the solution to complex questions that arise on your path, and the guarantee of overcoming trials and hardships—are only knowledge, knowledge, and knowledge.”
He urged young people to cherish every moment of their beautiful youth, master new knowledge, ideas, and innovations, learn professions and crafts, and deeply understand the foundations of their native language, rich history, and culture. He also encouraged them to diligently study world history and foreign languages, and never cease in their quest and actions.
“Love our sacred land inherited from our ancestors with all your heart and soul, and live with feelings of boundless loyalty to our people and Motherland!” the head of state wished.
