A 33-year-old urologist at a private clinic in Tashkent, identified as S.S., has been held administratively liable for sexually harassing female medical interns. Kun.uz has reviewed the court decision.
On March 26, 2026, the doctor allegedly propositioned one intern for sexual intercourse in his office. On April 28, 2026, he harassed another intern, claiming he wanted to marry her and promising to give her positive marks for missed practice days.
The doctor partially admitted guilt, denying harassment of the first intern but claiming he genuinely fell in love with the second. The interns requested legal action, with one stating she had recorded her conversation with the doctor.
On June 1, 2026, the Almazar District Court found S.S. guilty under Article 41-1, Part 1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (Sexual Harassment) and sentenced him to 5 days of administrative arrest.
Earlier, a school director in the Urtachirchik district was also arrested for 5 days for harassing a student.
