President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has arrived in St. Petersburg on a working visit, according to the presidential press service.
At Pulkovo International Airport, the head of state was greeted by Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov, St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov, and other officials.
According to the visit program, on June 4, the Uzbek leader is scheduled to meet with Vladimir Putin. On the same day, he is expected to participate in the ceremony marking the start of construction of the reactor for Uzbekistan's first integrated nuclear power plant.
On June 5, Mirziyoyev will take part in the main events of the 29th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
