In the Karmanin district of Uzbekistan's Navoi region, officers from the Bureau of Compulsory Execution discovered a man evading alimony payments hiding inside a tandyr oven.

According to the bureau, the individual had accumulated nearly 71 million soums in alimony debt and had been avoiding his obligations for a long time. During search operations, officers found him in a house, concealed inside a tandyr in the summer kitchen area.

Despite the unusual hiding spot, the debtor could not escape responsibility. A court sentenced him to 15 days of administrative arrest.

The Bureau reminded that evading child support carries legal consequences, and obligations to children and court decisions must be enforced.
