On June 6, the 'Made in France' (Fabriqué en France) exhibition opened at the Tashkent House of Photography, an initiative of French President Emmanuel Macron. The event is scheduled for only two days, ending on June 7.
The exhibition has been held at the Élysée Palace in Paris since 2020. Uzbekistan is the first foreign country to host the event. French Ambassador Ualid Fuk called the decision natural, emphasizing President Macron's personal interest in developing bilateral relations.
The exhibition features over 100 product types from about 50 companies, including Louis Vuitton, Dior, Guerlain, Airbus, and Michelin. All products were specifically selected for the Uzbek market.
Family workshop La Chemise Française from Chalon-sur-Saône has been making shirts for over 80 years. Brand head Romain de Saint-Jean said they use 100% cotton and buttons made from Australian mother-of-pearl. Shirts cost $200-230.
Cosmetics manufacturer Tech Nature is visiting Uzbekistan for the second time. Export manager Kira Zaitseva noted that each product is developed for at least a year, with over 95% natural ingredients.
Odyssée specializes in industrial water treatment systems. They developed a plant-based cleaning technology that reduces carbon footprint by 98%. Clients include L'Oréal and Airbus.
Dassault Systèmes presented an engineering platform. Technical expert Laurent March has been working at Tashkent State Transport University for two years. About 15 teachers currently use the platform.
Equipment manufacturer Diager focuses on concrete drilling. Sales manager Grégoire Maupas said the company has been present in Central Asia through Kazakhstan for 20 years and now aims to enter the Uzbek market directly.
Admission to the exhibition is free, open from 10:00 to 17:00.
