The Committee for the Development of Competition and Protection of Consumer Rights has accused Nika Pharm of violating the law by advertising a drug using images of historical figures on social media.

The regulator stated that currently, advertising materials that do not comply with generally accepted norms of morality and spirituality are being distributed via social networks, causing sharp public outcry.

Specifically, in the advertisement for its drug Rinoksil Formula+, Nika Pharm used images of Amir Timur, George Washington, Ibn Sina, Julius Caesar, Alisher Navoi, and Napoleon Bonaparte, depicting them in various scenarios with the implication that they used the product.

“Such advertising of the drug shows disrespect to famous historical figures, including our great ancestors, and uses their images in a way contrary to our morality and spirituality,” the committee said in a statement.

The agency reminded that according to Article 16 of the Law “On Advertising,” it is prohibited to use forms, expressions, and images that contradict national and family traditions, as well as generally accepted norms of morality and spirituality.

The committee’s special commission initiated a case against Nika Pharm LLC and decided to impose a financial fine in accordance with established procedures.

Additionally, the company was issued binding instructions to eliminate the identified violations and prevent such incidents in the future.
