The Senate of Uzbekistan, at its 16th plenary session, approved the appointment of 11 judges to the Supreme Court for a ten-year term. This decision marks a significant reshuffling of the country's highest judicial body.

The newly appointed judges include: Akmaljon Alijanov (Andijan region, 9 years of experience), Dilfuza Dadajonova (Tashkent city, 8 years), Dilfuza Jurayeva (Bukhara region, 8 years), Utkir Rozikov (Bukhara region, 13 years), Sardor Rakhmatdinov (Andijan region, 7 years), Muhiddin Sultonov (Namangan region, 11 years), Jahongir Turdimurodov (Syrdarya region, 8 years), Luiza Khalidova (Khorezm region, 8 years), Abdusaid Khodjiev (Tashkent region, 7 years), and Marat Ergashev (Samarkand region, 11 years).

Most of these judges previously served as chairmen or judges in regional and inter-district courts, specializing in civil, criminal, or administrative cases. Their combined experience ranges from 7 to 13 years in the judiciary.

It is worth noting that earlier, 9 judges were dismissed from the Supreme Court. The new appointments are part of ongoing efforts to renew and strengthen the judicial system in Uzbekistan.
