The Uzhydromet agency has warned that heavy rains expected on June 16-19 could trigger mudslides and floods in the foothill and mountainous regions of the republic.

According to experts, the risk is particularly high in mountainous areas where rainwater accumulation and mudslide formation are likely. This poses a serious threat to local residents and tourists.

Uzhydromet urges citizens living in foothill and mountainous areas, vacationers, and drivers traveling through mountain roads to take precautionary measures.

Additionally, rainwater accumulation is possible in some parts of the republic, which may lead to localized flooding. Residents are advised to strictly follow safety guidelines.
