On Monday, brief rain and thunderstorms are expected in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Navoi region, and later in the day in Tashkent, Samarkand, Jizzakh, Syrdarya regions, and by evening in the Fergana Valley regions. No precipitation is forecast for the rest of the country, according to Uzhydromet.
On June 16-17, unstable weather is expected across Uzbekistan. Most regions will experience brief rain with thunderstorms in some areas.
On June 18-19, only central and eastern regions may see brief rain and thunderstorms, while the rest of Uzbekistan will remain dry.
Daytime temperatures on Monday and Tuesday will reach +35…+38°C, in desert areas +39…+41°C, and in the far south +41…+43°C. From June 17-19, temperatures will drop by 3-4 degrees.
Winds will be 7-12 m/s, occasionally strengthening to 13-18 m/s, with dust storms in some areas. On June 15-17, gusts in the north and desert areas may reach 20-22 m/s.
In the foothills and mountainous regions, brief rain and thunderstorms are expected periodically. Mudflows and floods may occur.
In Tashkent, brief rain and thunderstorms are possible on June 15-16 towards evening. Daytime temperatures will be +36…+38°C. From June 17 to 19, brief rain with thunderstorms is expected in the afternoon. Temperatures will mainly be +31…+34°C.
Winds will be easterly at 3-8 m/s, occasionally strengthening to 12-14 m/s, with dust storms in some areas.
