Upon the invitation of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Albanian President Bajram Begaj, accompanied by his spouse, will pay an official visit to Uzbekistan on June 16-17, the presidential press service reported.
High-level talks in Tashkent will focus on prospects for further developing multifaceted cooperation between the two countries. Key priorities include expanding partnership in trade, industrial cooperation, agriculture, green energy, and tourism.
The sides will also consider intensifying cultural and humanitarian exchanges. An exchange of views on international agenda issues, including mutual support within multilateral platforms, is planned.
During the visit, the Albanian President will participate in the 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum. The event is expected to be the largest in its history. The 2026 theme is "Investment Sustainability: New Horizons, New Partnerships." Over 3,400 foreign delegates from more than 100 countries are set to attend.
Earlier, it was reported that German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier would visit Uzbekistan on June 17-18 as part of his tour of Asian countries.
