According to the Uzbekistan Football Association, referee Ilgiz Tantashev and his assistants Andrey Tsapenko and Timur Gaynullin have been appointed to the Group C match of the FIFA World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

The game between Scotland and Morocco is scheduled for June 20 at 3:00 AM Tashkent time.

Tantashev will become the second Uzbek referee to officiate at a World Cup. Previously, Ravshan Irmatov worked at the 2010, 2014, and 2018 tournaments, officiating 11 matches — a world record among referees.
