Uzbekistan has become an associate member of the European Organization of Tax Administrations (IOTA). The decision was made at the 30th IOTA General Assembly in Budapest.

According to the Dunyo news agency, the republic's delegation was led by Chairman of the Tax Committee Farrukh Pulatov. He presented key directions of tax reforms.

These include the introduction of electronic invoices, online cash registers, digital product labeling, automated risk analysis, and proactive tax calculation. The goal is to reduce administrative barriers, increase transparency, and improve the business climate.

Following a closed vote, the General Assembly supported Uzbekistan's application. Membership in the organization will allow the republic to expand cooperation with European tax administrations, implement best practices in digitalization and risk management, and share experience in transforming the tax system.

The assembly also discusses the use of AI, compliance, and models of tax systems until 2030.
