A control raid by the General Prosecutor's Office in the Payariq district of Samarkand region uncovered an enterprise that had been illegally using electricity.

According to the Uzenergoinspection, the production facility had connected itself to the power grid without authorization, allowing it to consume electricity unlawfully over an extended period.

The damage to the energy supply organization is estimated at 3 billion 577 million UZS. No further details on procedural actions have been provided.

Earlier, a mining farm illegally connected to the power grid was discovered in Samarkand city, causing nearly 2.3 billion UZS in damages.
