According to a decision by the Tashkent City Council of People's Deputies, 29 employees of the capital's khokimiyats have been implicated in corruption-related offenses and conflicts of interest. Some of them faced 1,353 administrative violation protocols.

Individual talks were held with four assistants to the khokims of Mirabad, Chilanzar, Yunusabad, and Yashnabad districts, as well as the deputy khokim of Yakkasaray district. They were warned about the inadmissibility of corruption and strict adherence to official ethics.

An inspection of compliance with conflict-of-interest legislation revealed that 167 employees participate in commercial organizations. To eliminate violations, the founding activities of six employees in 20 business entities were terminated, and labor contracts with 13 employees were canceled.

Seven commercial organizations linked to seven khokimiyat employees were transferred to liquidation proceedings, and two were removed from the state register. The managerial activities of four employees in commercial organizations were terminated.

Preventive conversations were held with 49 employees, and 55 were reviewed by ethics commissions with warnings issued. An analysis of decisions and orders through the E-qaror system showed that in January 2026, 50.4% of documents were placed in hidden mode.

The compliance service reviewed 350 draft decisions and orders, rejecting seven. As a result of the inspections, 2 billion soums from the Tashkent khokimiyat's reserve fund were saved.

Uzbekistan's Anti-Corruption Agency organized a preventive excursion for civil servants to pre-trial detention centers and correctional facilities. The first participants were heads of the Ministry of Construction and the Cadastre Agency. The initiative is being implemented as part of a corruption prevention plan.
