In the first quarter of 2026, more than 1,000 violations related to information products that could harm children's health and psyche were detected in online publications, TV channels, print media, and publishing products in Uzbekistan. Most violations involve non-compliance with age classification and content labeling requirements.

This was announced at a training session titled 'Information Security of Children in the Digital Age: Media Responsibility, Cyber Protection, and Ethical Standards,' organized by the Inspection for Control in the Field of Informatization and Communications on June 23.

Advisor to the head of the inspection, Asad Khodjaev, told Kun.uz that no punitive measures have been applied to violators so far. Instead, they have been issued directives requiring each case to be analyzed with the participation of specialists and preventive work to be carried out to avoid recurrence.

'Our goal is to form a community of experts capable of correctly assessing harmful content and improving their qualifications. If violations continue after that, we will be forced to take measures,' Khodjaev stated.
