President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has established a commemorative badge to mark the 35th anniversary of the country's independence. The corresponding decree was published on the official website of the head of state.

According to the document, the award "35 Years of Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan" will be presented to citizens for significant contributions to strengthening independence, enhancing the country's economic power and potential, as well as for long-term dedicated labor and active participation in social life.

The decree notes that preparations for the celebration of the 35th anniversary of independence are being conducted taking into account Uzbekistan's high authority on the world stage.

Earlier, the president signed a decree awarding a group of journalists, bloggers, editors, cameramen, and print and electronic media workers for their contribution to the development of freedom of speech and press, protection of national interests in the information space, coverage of reforms, and training of personnel for modern journalism.
