Tashkent, Uzbekistan – Podrobno.uz. A representative of Uzbekistan, Orif Ergashev, won the Grand Prix of the third International Forum of Makom Art, held in Namangan.
The forum took place from June 23 to 26 under the auspices of UNESCO and AYSCESCO. The winner also received a cash prize of $15,000.
A total of performers and creative groups from 18 countries participated in the competition. Their performances were evaluated by an international jury, which included representatives from Azerbaijan, France, Turkey, Serbia, Kuwait, Canada, and Uzbekistan.
First places were awarded to the National Instruments Ensemble of the State Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan, as well as performers and groups from Azerbaijan and Mongolia. They received $5,000 each.
Earlier, it was reported that thematic music streets would appear in tourist cities of Uzbekistan.
