The city of Termez in the Surkhandarya region has received 15 new Zhongtong buses manufactured in China for public transport, the Ministry of Transport reported.
According to the ministry, the buses were purchased by the passenger transport company Best Logistictrans Termez. It was noted that the new buses are equipped with facilities that ensure comfortable and barrier-free movement for all categories of passengers, including people with disabilities.
In the coming days, they will begin serving passengers on Termez bus routes under a gross contract. The Ministry of Transport stated that the new rolling stock will help improve the quality of public transport services, ensure safe and comfortable travel for passengers, and further enhance the efficiency of the city's transport system.
It is worth recalling that since January 1, fare payment on public buses in Termez is accepted only via bank cards and electronic single-use tickets. Tickets purchased through infokiosks are scanned on validators, and the remaining balance is transferred to the passenger's phone number.
Earlier, it was reported that 24 modern Zhongtong buses were also delivered for the city of Kokand, which are planned to be launched on city routes under a gross contract.
