An investigative report by Kun.uz has revealed that 'Premium Pro', a company posing as a network marketing firm, is actually a classic financial pyramid scheme. Founded by Ikromjon Tojiddinov, it promised easy money but left thousands of people in debt.
A woman from Kashkadarya region invested 40 million soums borrowed from a bank, but received no profit in a year and a half. She was promised to become a 'team president' and earn thousands of dollars, but ended up with only debts.
72-year-old pensioner Juma-bobo Rajabov from Kasansky district invested about 70 million soums — his pension savings and money from relatives. In a year, he received only 1.2 million soums in 'income' and was left with nothing.
Company leaders used a banner with the president's image and allegedly his quotes about network marketing in their office, creating an illusion of state support. Later, one leader admitted the quotes were fake.
The scam scheme is simple: new participants are offered to buy expensive perfume (from $300), but they don't need it. The company buys it back for 250,000 soums and resells it to new victims. Money is redistributed within the system, with new participants constantly feeding the pyramid.
In Kashkadarya alone, leader Dilobar Kiomova has 20,000 people in her team. There are several such leaders across the country. The company promises its top 6 leaders 5% of monthly income. Even modest estimates put the company's monthly turnover at hundreds of billions of soums.
In Uzbekistan, network marketing is legal but with strict restrictions: entry fees in the form of product purchases are prohibited (mandatory in Premium Pro), multi-level chains where income depends on the number of recruits are prohibited (the company's foundation), and recruiting minors is prohibited. The company violates all these rules.
Kun.uz concludes that 'Premium Pro' is not a business but a financial pyramid that enriches only its creators and top tier. Thousands of people across Uzbekistan are left with debts and shattered hopes. Citizens are advised not to invest in dubious projects and not to believe promises of easy money.
