Tashkent, Uzbekistan – Podrobno.uz. In the upcoming academic year, Uzbekistan's higher education institutions will be able to admit over 234,000 students to full-time bachelor's programs — approximately 58% more than the previous year. More than 36,000 state-funded grant places have been allocated.

Over the past three years, full-time enrollment has steadily increased. In 2024, universities could admit nearly 128,000 students; in 2025, that figure rose to 148,400. Thus, the number of places has grown by over 106,000 in two years.

Priority in setting admission parameters was given to engineering, information technology, pedagogy, and agricultural fields. The state order is calculated based on labor market needs, economic sector demands, and graduate employment rates.

In the 2025/2026 academic year, over 323,000 students graduated from universities, and in 2027, more than 390,000 graduates will enter the labor market. To facilitate their employment, 378 job fairs and 1,243 workshops were held this year. Nearly 18,000 young specialists received preliminary agreements with employers.

Earlier, the rules for the admission campaign were announced. The maximum exam score will be 189 points, and the traditional correspondence form will be replaced by a part-time format.
