The Tashkent Metro will close one of the escalators on the passage between Alisher Navoi and Pakhtakor stations from July 21 to August 17 for repairs. The work is aimed at improving equipment reliability and passenger safety.

According to the metro's press service, the repair will affect escalator No. 3 of type ET-5M, located on the passage from Alisher Navoi station to Pakhtakor station.

During the repairs, specialists will replace the traction chains of the escalator, which has been in continuous operation since 1984 in vestibule No. 1. The metro says this will increase its operational reliability and safety level.

The Tashkent Metro administration apologized to passengers for the temporary inconvenience and asked them to consider the restrictions when planning trips.

Earlier, the Chinor metro station was closed for reconstruction for nearly two months. Until mid-August, infrastructure modernization is underway there, including the installation of elevators for passengers with limited mobility, and special metro buses are providing transportation during the work.
