The cost of traveling on city buses and electric buses in the Tashkent region has increased. A single trip now costs 2,600 soums when paid in cash and 2,000 soums when paid by bank or transport card. The decision was made by the regional council, introducing a differentiated payment system, flexible tariff plans, unlimited passes, and new transfer rules.

Cash payments are 30% more expensive than card payments. Baggage transport also costs 2,600 soums. For card users, a transfer system has been introduced: within one hour, the first trip costs 2,000 soums, the second bus transfer costs 1,000 soums, and subsequent transfers are free.

New flexible tariff plans for regular passengers include: 5-day pass for 22 trips at 34,000 soums, 10-day for 44 trips at 68,000 soums, 15-day for 66 trips at 102,000 soums, 20-day for 88 trips at 135,000 soums, and monthly for 130 trips at 200,000 soums. Unlimited passes: 1 day for 8,000 soums, 7 days for 51,000 soums, 90 days for 600,000 soums, 180 days for 1.2 million soums, and 365 days for 2.4 million soums.

Discounted fares for pensioners, students, and schoolchildren remain at 50% off the base price. A 1-day unlimited pass costs 4,000 soums, a 5-day pass for 22 trips costs 17,000 soums, a 10-day for 44 trips costs 34,000 soums, and a monthly for 130 trips costs 100,000 soums. An annual unlimited pass for beneficiaries costs 1.2 million soums.

Citizens entitled to free travel receive a special card for 60 trips per month at 0 soums. Authorities have ordered a full transition to cashless payment for city buses operating under gross contracts. Infokiosks for purchasing and topping up transport cards will be gradually installed in Angren, Bekabad, Almalyk, Akhangaran, Nurafshan, Chirchik, and Yangiyul.
